AGRICULTURAL DATABASES
- DOST-PCAARRD eLibrary - The e-Library is recognized as one of the knowledge management tools to capture, codify, share, and apply PCAARRD’s generated knowledge products and resources. With information on the agriculture, aquatic, and natural resources (AANR) sector vital particularly to the agenda of poverty alleviation, PCAARRD, through the assistance of the Science and Technology Information Institute of DOST, has developed a library management system designed to facilitate efficient and prompt dissemination, sharing, exchange, preservation, access, and retrieval of its resources.
MEDICAL DATABASES
- Free Medical Journals -Site was created to promote the free availability of full text medical journals on the Internet.
- PubMed Central® (PMC) is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).
COMPREHENSIVE DATABASES
- DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals)-was launched in 2003 with 300 open access journals. Today, this independent database contains over 15 000 peer-reviewed open access journals covering all areas of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts and humanities. Open access journals from all countries and in all languages are welcome to apply for inclusion.
- JSTOR-provides access to more than 12 million academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines.
- Open Research Library-comprise the most comprehensive collection of peer-reviewed Open Access books accessible for everyone.
- Cambridge OA-serves authors and the wider community by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed OA content that allows readers to redistribute, re-use and adapt the content in new works.
- World Bank Open Knowledge Repository (OKR)-is the World Bank’s official open access repository for its research outputs and knowledge products. Through the OKR, the World Bank collects, disseminates, and permanently preserves its intellectual output in digital form.
- Dimensions-Re-imagining discovery and access to research: grants, datasets, publications, citations, clinical trials, patents and policy documents in one place.
- SSRN-is devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of research and is composed of a number of specialized research networks.
- Philippine E-Journals (PEJ)-is an online collection of academic publications of different higher education institutions and professional organizations. Its sophisticated database allows users to easily locate abstracts, full journal articles, and links to related research materials.
- Internet Archive Scholar-This fulltext search index includes over 25 million research articles and other scholarly documents preserved in the Internet Archive. The collection spans from digitized copies of eighteenth century journals through the latest Open Access conference proceedings and pre-prints crawled from the World Wide Web.
- Academia-is a platform for sharing academic research. Academics have uploaded 22 million papers, and 31 million academics, professionals, and students read papers on Academia every month.
CHILDREN'S E-RESOURCES
- Globe eLibrary- a web platform and mobile application that provides students and educators with free and quick access to digital story books and eLearning videos. It features age-appropriate and engaging educational resources tailored to children and young adults in the Philippines. Users can enjoy free access to hundreds of digital titles and video content through their mobile phone, tablet, laptop, and desktop computer.
- Let's Read-Children need books with characters, themes, and settings that reflect and affirm their lives and provide opportunities to explore the world. Let's Read draws on the Asia Foundation's 18 offices in the region and deep ties in local communities to build an unprecedented digital library of local language children's books while cultivating sustainable network of book creators and translators who are committed to creating meaningful reading opportunities.
