Lively vibrant colors from pupils’ costumes with marching music paraded along the streets of Alaminos City this morning marked the colorful and exciting day of BOOK CHARACTER PARADE Competition Year 3 in celebration of the Alaminos City Library’s 70th Platinum Founding Year and 60th Public Library Day with the theme: “Public Libraries Click When the Local Officials Lead”.
On behalf of Alaminos City Mayor Arthur F. Celeste and BM Arth Bryan C. Celeste, Former Executive Assistant V, Michelle Sison-Segundera expressed her commendation to the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez through its City Library headed by Mrs. Zenaida Romero for creatively and successfully holding the said event held at the Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center today, March 11, 2019. Whereas children’s literature and the creativity of the pupils, teachers, and their parents from the different participating Public and Private Elementary Schools in Alaminos City were once again showcased.
Let us expand our reading horizons as we witness a fun and creative way to celebrate the books written for young people and to engage the young generation in hopes to inspire the love of reading and its importance in the lives of the students.

The Alaminos City Library (ACL) placed 2nd in the 2018 Search for Outstanding Public Libraries with Special Programs and Outreach Services on MALASAKIT to the Different Sectors in the Community.
City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez and City Librarian Zenaida C. Romero received the national award along with the library staff during the 28th Library and Information Services Month Celebration Closing Ceremonies held at the City Garden Suites, Manila.
The prestigious award which comes with a cash prize amounting to P15,000 pesos were handed by Director IV Cezar Gilber Adriano of the National Library of the Philippines, Ms. Prudenciana C. Cruz, Head of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts particularly the National Committee on Library and Information Services and Atty. Fatima Panontongan, representing the event’s guest speaker, Sen. Juan Edgardo M. Angara.
Vice Mayor Perez also received a Plaque of recognition from NLP and NCCA-NCLIS for his remarkable leadership to the advancement of Philippine public libraries, selfless dedication and exemplary efforts to public library services as role model for LGU officials and for his initiatives in promoting and enhancing the role of the city library in building a better city.
ACL, which is under the umbrella of the Office of the City Vice Mayor, bagged the second top prize for rendering outreach programs and providing relevant and quality services to the city’s cross section. This includes the Araw ng Pagbasa, a mobile project of Vice Mayor Perez and ACL wherein storytelling and puppet shows are conducted for the public and private elementary school children. ACL also conducts regular library orientations to shools, Tech4ED Program, Digital Literacy Program and the Aklatang Pambarangay Book Donation Drive in partnership with the city’s schools, banking institutions and establishments.

Aklatang Pambarangay (Book Donation Drive) is a project initiated by Vice Mayor Anton Y. Perez, Sangguniang Panlungsod and the Alaminos City Library, to promote the love of reading and increase literacy in the community.
Last March 9 2018, Launching of the Project and Signing of partnership agreement was held during the celebration of Public Library Day. This program was organized in a manner of soliciting books from the generous people in the community thru our partner agencies and establishments by donating books necessary for quality education and other reading materials in response to the demand and request of Public Elementary Schools in the City of Alaminos. Through this program, more than 3000 were collected from from the partner agencies and establishments.
As of November 2018 Ten (10) Public Elementary Schools namely: Pandan , Mona, Popantay, Inerangan, Tawin tawin , San Jose, Baleydaan, San Vicente Elementary Schools and Alaminos City Central School, have its turnover of books and bookshelves for their School Libraries.

Summer Arts Program for KIDS Year 3
The Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Anton Perez and the Alaminos City Library headed by Mrs. Zenaida C. Romero once again conducted Summer Arts Program for Kids, the 1st batch was held last April 23-27 and the 2nd batch was held May 7-11, 2018 respectively. Now on it’s 3rd year, the arts program accommodated more than kids from different barangays, ages 5 to 11 years old.
The five day activity includes colouring and reading challenge by age category and the favourite segment of the kid is the sing and dance portion.

59th PUBLIC LIBRARY DAY
ACL celebrates the 59th Public Library Day. Program cum Storytelling/ Puppet show with Magical Show for children was held at Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center, March 9, 2018. Highlighted with the turn-over and signing of partnership Agreement for the Book Donation Drive dubbed as "Aklatang Pambarangay" and gift-giving of dictionaries donated by the City Councilors and Friends of the Library.
Book Character Parade Contest Year II
In celebration of the 83rd National Book Week '17, with the theme: "Libraries take action: Providing Access and Opportunity for All", a very successful event "Book Character Parade Year 2" was held at the Don Leopoldo Sison Convention Center on November 27, 2017. This was participated in by the public and private elementary schools totalling 72 pupil participants.

TECH4ED CENTER MANAGERS CONFERENCE
The Center Managers Tech4ed Centers entire Luzon has participated in the 2nd FOO-LC2 Knowledge Exchage Conference for Center Managers last July 26-27, 2017 at Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan. With the theme: Empowering Communities through Digital Opportunities promoting capability development thru its knowledge workers to be equipped in molding the marginalized sectors in the countryside. Relevant topics were discussed that includes the MOA signing of Tech4Ed Pipol Konek Project and Best Practices and knowledge sharing of some Tech4Ed Centers.
Lucky Tech4ed Centers were awarded based on their performance during the Governor's Fellowship Night and Alaminos City Tech4ed Center was chosen no. 13 as Best Performing Tech4eD Centers entire Luzon.

ALAMINOS CITY TECH4Ed CENTER 1ST YEAR ANNIVERSARY
The first year Anniversary of Tech4Ed Center Alaminos City was celebrated last July 28, 2017 at City Conference Hall. Group of DITC Team headed by Ms. Cheryl C. Ortega, Cluster Director LC2, teachers, students and the school officials, Dr. Danilo C. Sison, Schools Division Superintendent were the special guests. An Aundio-Visual Presentation was presented showing how the project was started and some accomplishments of the Project. MOA signing and turn-over of equipment package to Agriculture office as one of the recipients for FITS Tech4ed Center. Hon. Margielou Orange Humilde-Verzosa graced the occasion with Mr. Marius Manzano, ably represented the City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez.

The Alaminos City Library Tech4eD Center bags 13th place as Best Performing Tech4eD Center entire Luzon. SUMMER ART PROGRAM FOR KIDS
The Summer Art Program for Kids on its 2nd year was held last April 24-30, 2017 for the 1st Batch having 37 children and 56 children on May 8-12, 2017 for the 2nd Batch, a total of 93 participants.
Said activity aims to develop and instill the importance and beauty of arts and to showcase the skills and hidden talents of the children ages 7-9 years old, thus, the children of employees of the local government unit were the first priority.
This 5-day activity of art coloring and drawing on the last day was concluded with a short program with a song and dance by the participants and the library staff held at the Plaza Enrique Braganza. The two Batch 1 & 2 were combined during the awarding of the Certificate of Participation and the awarding of Best In Arts Project and gifts.
The City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez and City Councilor Apolonia G. Bacay were the honored guests on the said program.

ARAW NG PAGBASA, STORYTELLING FOR CHILDREN dubbed as KWENTO, KWENTO... KWENTUHAN TAYO is a mobile project of City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez, the City Library and the Sangguniang Panlungsod. This is a continuing program in support of Araw ng Pagbasa Act of 2013 (RA 10556) in coordination with the Division Office Elementary Schools from Grade I to Grade III (PUBLIC AND PRIVATE) here in the City of Alaminos scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday of the week. This program has started last February and temporarily ended up last March to pave way for the celebration of the City Fiesta and for the summer vacation. The program will resume on July until November the Araw ng Pagbasa Day.

Gellado articulated four significant notes in relation to the celebration that include children , teachers, book characters and advocacy. She put emphasis to let children enjoy every moment of their lives , teachers to continuously be molders of good values and education, book characters as source of inspiration for every child and finally in the advent of new technologies, this event serves as an advocacy to entice every child to have time reading books.
Highlight of the said celebration is the Book Character Parade Contest participated by the public and private elementary schools here in the city showcasing the various book characters in a very colorful and fantastic costumes.

Another milestone for the City of Alaminos as it holds the Launching and Ribbon-Cutting of the Center last July 29, 2016. This project is in partnership of the Dept. of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) formerly the Department of Science and Technology Information Communication Technology (DOST-ICTO) and the National Library of the Philippines.
The said project aims to establish computer centers in th rural areas to create more self-reliant communities through access to connectivity, communication, information, knowledge, vital government services, giving equal opportunities to national participation and development.
Various services of the TECH4Ed Center include the e-Government Services, eAssist and eEduSkills. Present during the launching were City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez, Ms. Blesila Velasco, Chief Public Libraries Division, Provincial Librarian Ms. Ma. Cynthia Encarnita Flor Vila, City Councilor Hon. Apolonia Bacay, City Councilors Hon. The Local Government Unit of Alaminos City through the City Library Office headed by Ms. Zenaida Romero holds its second round of the 5-day Summer Art Activity for Children at the City Library.
Said activity aims to develop and instill the importance and beauty of arts and likewise to showcase the skills and talents in the field of arts among children ages 6-9 years here in the city.
The 5-day activity comprised of art coloring and concluded with a short program that include the awarding of the Best Art Work and a courtesy call with the re-elected Local Chief Executive of Alaminos City, the Hon. Arthur F. Celeste.
The fifth and last day was the awarding ceremony of the Best in Art and the certificates of participation to all the attendees. City Library staff also presented puppet shows and sing and dance numbers. Ms. Romero extended her gratitude to all the parents and children who actively participated in this noble undertaking.

Alaminos City- In pursuit of the city’s thrust of fast and efficient delivery of services to its constituents, the Local Government Unit of Alaminos City led by the dedicated and visionary City Mayor Arthur F. Celeste in collaboration with the National Library of the Philippines launches today, August 14, 2015 the Integrated Library System also known as “ KOHA PROJECT” at the Alaminos City Library being the first city to launch the project and the 2nd in the Province of Pangasinan.
KOHA Project is the first open-source Integrated Library which features an online public access catalogue, database of library users and help them for easy access of books for research, thesis, classroom assignments and other activities. KOHA is a Maori word originated from New Zealand which mean “ GIFT.”
The good City Mayor conveyed his sincerest gratitude to the National Library of the Philippines represented by Mr. Edgardo B. Quiroz, the Chief of the Information Technology Division for the technical assistance extended to LGU Alaminos on the full implementation of this noble undertaking. He likewise expressed his utmost commitment and pledge of support to the KOHA project to upgrade the city's library services . ALAMINOS CITY RECEIVES DONATIONS FROM MALAYAN INSURANCE CORPORATION
The Local Government Unit of Alaminos City led by City Mayor Arthur F. Celeste along with City Treasurer Shirley R. dela Cruz receives today a check amounting to Php 75,000 from the Malayan Insurance Corporation represented by Area Head Larry Mejia right at the Office of the City Mayor.
This gesture of Malayan Insurance Corporation is a way of giving back its blessings particularly on the 10-peso insurance fee collected by the City Tourism Office from visitors going to the Hundred Islands National Park.
Likewise, the group also donated fifty pieces of Noli Me Tangere books to the City Library which was handed over to the City Mayor along with City Librarian, Mrs. Zenaida Romero. This gesture of Malayan Insurance Corporation is a way of giving back its blessings particularly on the 10-peso insurance fee collected by the City Tourism Office from visitors going to the Hundred Islands National Park.
Likewise, the group also donated fifty pieces of Noli Me Tangere books to the City Library which was handed over to the City Mayor along with City Librarian, Mrs. Zenaida Romero. On this year's celebration of the 80th National Book Week with the theme: Philippine Libraries: Future Possibilities, ACL celebrated the event by a storytelling in sticks puppets and puppet show. It was on of each kind that the staff of the City Library conducted for the first time.
Scheduled activities was held in Brgy. Victoria, an outreached activity conducted by the ACL staff last Nov. 27, 2014 at 100 Islands Cowboy Christian Learning Center, Inc. The school was owned and managed by the Engr. Eduardo Palisoc and Madam Belinda Palisoc.

Training on KOHA (library OPAC and Barcode System) @ NLP, Manila
The ACL Staff underwent training at the National Library of the Philippines last November 11, 2014 on KOHA ILS Project (library OPAC and barcode system). This project is part of the modernization program of the NLP distributed to affiliated public libraries in the country. The training was conducted by Ms. Anna Fe Velasco.

In celebration of the 31st National Children's Book Day, the Alaminos City Libray (ACL) conducted a "Story Telling Activity" for the Poblacion Day Care Center and the Early Child Care & Development Center. This was held at the Alaminos City Library last July 15, 2014 with the theme: "Pumitas ng Aklat.Buklatin.Basahin"

Last Nov.24-30, 2013, ACL celebrated the 79th National Book Week with the theme “Libraries: Preservers and Promoters of Culture and the Arts”. In celebration of the event, a poster-making contest was held on Nov. 26, 2013 at the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG).
The activity was a success. It was participated by 36 students coming from the different institutions of the City, 6 public and 4 private high schools and 2 from tertiary level.
Ms. Kazel C. Celeste, the daughter of our City Mayor, Hon. Arthur F. Celeste, graced the occasion and gave an inspirational message in behalf of his father.
The event was judged by five (5) respected personalities who has full knowledge and ideas about arts and they had a hard time choosing the winners as almost all the participants were good at expressing their ideas through painting and had a very creative mind. All of them were considered winners as they were chosen to represent their own school.
The winners were chosen based on their ranking and 6 consolation prizes were also given. They are as follows:
1st Prize - Chris Q. Cerbito - Colegio San Jose de Alaminos - P4,000.00.
(He was also the winner during the poster-making contest held in 2010)
2nd Prize - Mark Anthony Tibule - PASS College - P3,000.00
3rd Prize - Karen A. Paz - Colegio San Jose de Alaminos - P2,000.00.

ACL Outreach Activity at 100 Islands Christian Church
Last October 11, 2013, even if it was proclaimed signal #2 in Pangasinan with the coming of typhoon Santi, the ACL head and staff still proceeded with their "outreach activity" at the 100 Islands Cowboy Christian Church in Barangay Victoria, this City.
The outreach activity was in response to the invitation of Madam Belinda Palisoc, the administrator of the said school for storytelling for their pupils. But before the start of the storytelling, one of the teachers, Ms. Cherry, together with Ms. Belinda toured the ACL staffs to the whole school compound. The rooms were well-equipped,complete with reading materials to be used by the pupils in their daily activities.
At the start of the storytelling session, the ACL staffs observed that the pupils were well-disciplined and were all attentive to the stories. Nobody talked with each other while the storytelling was going on.
ACL conducted two stories entitled "Ang itim na pusa" by Natasha Vizcara and "Ngiiiii.... Ang Kati-Kati ng Ulo ko" by Dr. Luis P. Gatmaitan.

National Children's Book Day Celebration
Another storytelling session was held at Alaminos City Library is celebration of the National Children's Book Day on July 16, 2013. It was the 30th year of the celebration with its theme: "BASA... MGA KAPATID", which aims to promote reading. Participants were the kindergarten pupils of ALAMINOS CENTRAL SCHOOL consisting of 48 small children. Miss Kasel Celeste, the daughter of Mayor Arthur F. Celeste is the special guest storyteller, with Ms. Virgie E. Aquino.
The children were very delighted for the two stories prepared for them, the song and dance and snacks served for them compliments of the City Mayor.

Kindergarten pupils of Alaminos Central School paid their respect to the new City Mayor The Honorable Arthur F. Celeste, of Alaminos City as part of their activity in celebration of the National Children's Book Day on July 16, 2013.
Forty-eight small children ages 4-6, their teacher and parents met the new City Mayor at his office. The Mayor was elated to see the small kids visiting his office for the first time after assumption to office last July 1.

The Inter-School Spelling Bee Contest was succesfully conducted by the ACL and staff headed by City Librarian, Mrs. Zenaida C. Romero. This is in celebration of the 87th National Book Week held on Nov. 24- 30, 2012 with theme "The Libraries... Effects on Society".
The contest is an Oral Spelling Word Competition and participants were Grade III pupils from public and private schools. It aims to help the children improve their spelling and increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. Likewise, to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among the children in the grade school. Cash prizes, trophies, certificates and token gift that is - - dictionary were the incentives given away to the winners.

In celebration of the 77th National Book Week, the Alaminos City Library (ACL) held its fifth annual film showing for the city’s day care children. Guided by the theme: “Aklatan para sa Kaunlaran” (Libraries for Progress), ACL brought the event to the barangays for the first time as an outreached activity.
The film showing and reading sessions were held in some selected day care centers namely Poblacion Day Care Center, Early Childhood Care and Development Center, Sandoy Day Care Center , Palamis Day Care Center and San Vicente Day Care Center from November 24-29, 2011.
Through this event, we have not just showcased the essence of reading but also promoting it as well and the literacy among the day care children, said City Librarian, Zenaida C. Romero. This initiative has likewise brought ACL closer to our school children in the barangays as we renew our efforts to promote our city library to the reading public”, she continued. Through this film showing and reading of books, we are optimistic that we could send the right message to the communities that ACL cares both for the children and all the library goers and we are committed to do this every year, the city librarian further stressed.
Held every November, the National Book Week is an important initiative to encourage citizens to view reading as a fun and pleasurable activity. It also shows how easily it can be incorporated into one’s lifestyle. Indeed, this is an opportune time for local libraries and other organizations to share and promote the culture of reading among school children”, noted Romero.

Rain showers did not stop the group composed of 29 librarians and staff of Quezon City Public Library headed by Mrs. Emelita Villanueva, City Librarian on their LAKBAY ARAL, a tour of public libraries in Pangasinan last Sept. 16-17, 2011.
Setting first on the iterenary of library visits started at Dagupan City Library, Dagupan City on September 16 and the group accompanied by the staff of Dagupan City Library and the City Librarian Mrs. Rufina S. Meneses , to see the glimpse of the Pantal River and experienced the river cruise.
After lunch, the group proceeded to Lingayen, Pangasinan to visit the Provincial Library and likewise have their tour at the provincial capitol, one of the well- known tourist spots today and the pride of Pangasinan.

Director's visit to ACL
Despite the downpour the new director of the National Library, Atty. Antonio M. Santos proceeded to Alaminos City on July 27, 2011 after the successful celebration of the 35th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Public Librarians of Pangasinan, the PPLAI.
The new director met the City Administrator of the City, Col. Wilmer S. Panabang and was so appreciative to the hospitality extended to him by the library staff during his short visit. The good director further stresses, that Alaminos City Library is one of the best library he has seen in Pangasinan.

PPLAI'S 35th Emerald Founding Anniversary
The Pangasinan Public Librarians Association, Inc. (PPLAI) celebrated it’s 35th founding anniversary last July 27, 2011 with the theme: "Librarians: Adapting change to meet the challenges of changing user population and technologies”. The occasion was held at the newly renovated Sison Auditorium at Lingayen, Pangasinan.

He urged public librarians to promote reading thru public libraries and be innovative and creative in marketing each libraries. The speech was full of wisdom and inspiration that inspired each and everyone.
Other special guests were Board Member (4th District) the Honorable Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario who also gave inspirational message and Ms. Jacqueline Tuason, represented the honorable Gov. Amado T. Espino Jr. and Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim who is out of the country.

READ-ALONG IN PANGASINAN
As part of the celebration of the National Childrens Book Day on July 19, 2011, the Pangasinan Public Librarians Association, Inc. (PPLAI) by its President Ms. Bernandine M. Gravela of Urdaneta City spearheaded a simultaneous Read-Along Storytelling for children to public libraries in Pangasinan.
Some libraries invited storytellers to led the storytelling session while others conducted their own unique way which school children ages 4-6 years have fun and enjoyed much the pleasure of listening and reading.
NEW NLP DIRECTOR
Atty. Antonio M. Santos was the new appointed Director of the National Library of the Philippines vice Mrs.Prudenciana C. Cruz, who retired from the service year 2010. Director Cruz was given an extention of office for 1 year and Mrs. Yolanda E. Jacinto was appointed officer-in-charge until the time of appointment of Atty. Santos.
Atty. Santos hails from Marikina, an alumnus of the Roosevelt College in Cainta, Rizal. He finished his AB Political Science at UP, Diliman in 1993 and continued his law course at the same University until 1980. He went to USA at the University of Washington and took his Masteral in Law Librarianship. His leadership to the library profession could not be surpass being a frequent speaker at the National Library’s activities and conferences. He had also received several prestigious awards being an active President of Philippine Librarians |
Association, Philippine Group of Law Librarians, and Outstanding Librarian of the Philippine Regulation Commission.
Atty. Santos appointment was approved on February 2011 at the Office of the President, by his Excellency Benigno C. Aquino III and assumed his position last April 4, 2011. He is the law librarian at the College of Law, UP, Diliman until his appointment as Director of the National Library of the Philippines.

There are 34 public libraries in Pangasinan and Alaminos City Library is one of the recipients of the KOHA Project by the National Library of the Philippines thru Mr. Edgardo B. Quiroz, Chief Information Technology Division.
KOHA which means “to give” is a complete unit of Integrated Library System distributed to public libraries as part of the new modernization program of the National Library of the Philippines.
The recipients are Pangasinan Provincial Library, Four (4) City Libraries in Dagupan, Urdaneta, San Carlos and Alaminos; and twenty-nine (29) Municipal Libraries in Alcala, Asingan, Balungao, Bani, Bayambang, Binalonan, Binmaley, Bolinao, Bugallon, Burgos, Calasiao, Laoac, Labrador, Lingayen, Mabini, Malasique, Manaoag, Mangaldan,Mapandan, Natividad, Rosales, SanFabian, San Jacinto, San Manuel, San Nicolas, Sta. Barbara, Sison, Umingan and Villasis.

Patunay ng lalo pang pinabubuting serbisyo ng Alaminos City Library ang pagkakahirang nito bilang ika-lima sa gitna ng napakaraming city libraries sa isinagawang Searh for Outstanding City Libraries in the Philippines for 2009. Kung ikukumpara ang aklatan ng Alaminos, ito'y isa pa lamang sa pinakabago ngunit may kakayanan na ring maghatid ng serbisyong hindi nalalayo sa antas ng ibang matatagal ng lungsod.
Ayon kay Mrs. Zenaida Romero, City Librarian V, ang bagong karangalan ng lungsod ay dala ng dedikasyon ng mga kawani ng silid-aklatan kasama ang mga mamayang may mabubuting kalaooban na, gaya kamailan, ay nagpakaloob ng mga donasyon sa lalong ikatataas ng antas ng serbisyo nito.
Base sa criteria, mataas ang puntos nakuha ng Alaminos lalo na sa services (15%) kung saan 14% ang naitala nito. Mataas din ang puntos nito sa physical facilities (15%) kung saan nakapagtala ito ng 11.5%. Malaking bagay ang role ng silid aklatan sa paghubog ng mga kabataan kaya "patuloy ang suporta" rito ng administrasyong Braganza, na masidhing nagsusulong ng edukasyon sa lahat ng level sa lungsod.

Manzano recently turned-over 2 brand new sets of computers to the city library while Rivera added 3 sets of encyclopedia. The two leaders joined the long list of philanthropists who keep on sharing their blessings to the ACL in the form of books, reading materials and computers. “We are privileged to be a recipient of these timely donations,” stressed Romero. This will definitely be of great help to our library as we continue to do our best of providing quality service to our clienteles,” she added.
ACL CONDUCT POSTER MAKING CONTEST
In line with the celebration of the 76th National Book Week, ACL successfully spearheaded a Poster-Making Contest last November 26, 2010 at the city library. The contest was open to the High Schools from public and private institutions in the city and cash prizes were given away to the lucky winners. The contest was judged according to the relevance of the theme: “Global linkages through books and information technology”.

Philippine Daily Inquirer's (PDI) Read-Along at ACL
ACL was also glad to play host to the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s (PDI) Read-Along activity in coordination with the city government of Alaminos on December 4, 2010. Alaminos City has been chosen as one of the 25 provinces and cities for the simultaneous storytelling as part of PDI’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. Read-Along is PDI’s unique way of promoting love for reading among children ages 7 to 13. Professional storyteller, Mr. Percy Gapas of Alitaptap Storytellers and the celebrity queen Ms. Barbara Salvador, Mutya ng Pilipinas Tourism International were invited to led the storytelling session to further inspire and instill the value of reading among the school children.
